Dessy got down on one knee for Nadia on Saturday night, live on her TikTok. By the end of the stream, the ring was on her finger.
The two were one of the four couples in the Perfect Match Xtra Season 4 grand finale on TV3 in May. Fans call them Desdia.
Nadia, known on the show as Nadia Queen, was live on TikTok from a room done up in red roses and lights.
Dessy knelt in front of her and held out a ring. Screenshots from later in the live show them posing together, the ring on her hand.
PMXtra X lit up within minutes.
"Congratulations, DESDIA! Issa proposal! We are getting married!" one fan wrote, sharing photos of the moment.
Not everyone is convinced
Some fans want to know what kind of ring it is. "Is this girlfriend proposal or will you be my wife proposal?" one asked, before congratulating them anyway.
Others are sceptical. "Let's be serious on this street Charley," one fan page posted, then also said congratulations. Some joked about a mobile money number pinned to the live while it was happening.
Another fan pushed back on the jokes. "What if they genuinely love each other?" they asked.
Dessy, who now posts on X as Dr Desmond Laryea, had not said anything about the proposal there by Sunday morning.
How Desdia got here
Their season was never smooth. They fought, made up, and dealt with Khaj saying he would try to take Nadia from Dessy.
They still made the final four. Priscary and Papy won the GH¢300,000 top prize on May 16, and Dessy and Nadia finished fourth with GH¢30,000 and goodies.
Six months on, they are the Season 4 couple everyone is talking about.
