On a night filled with the celebration of culture, finesse and talent, Majesti emerged as the ‘Star Performer’.
The theme for the evening, ‘Celebrating Ghana Music,’ set the stage for a remarkable performance as Majesti came in and delivered.
Leaving not only the audience but also the judges in awe, he performed his own rendition of Amakye Dede’s ‘To Be A Man’ which the legendary artiste (Amakye Dede) wrote based on his personal experiences in Nigeria.
As the guest judge for the night, Akosua Agyapong was quick to commend Majesti, urging the audience to applaud his exceptional performance.
“Please clap for him; he has done very well. I love your appearance and the way you involve the audience with what you were doing. Let me just get up and salute you,” she exclaimed, acknowledging Majesti’s ability to connect with the song on a personal level.
Adding a touch of humor, Richie Mensah, another judge, quipped, “This is the most ironic performance I have ever seen in my life— ‘To Be A Man’ performed by a 15-year-old boy. I loved it… Good job done.”
In stiff competition with fellow contestants L Boat and Byno, who were likely contenders for the title, Majesti’s standout performance secured him the coveted honours of being the ‘Star Performer’ for the evening. The applause was not the only reward, as Majesti received a hamper from the show’s sponsors, Bel Ice and Vitamilk.
