My experience on ‘Young, Famous and African’ was a little bit awkward – Fantana discloses

Dancehall musician and Reality TV Star, Francine Nyanko Koffi widely known as Fantana has shed light on her first experience on the popular Netflix original series “Young, Famous and African.”

Fantana in an interview with Graphic Showbiz admitted that her first few times on set were awkward but was eventually a fun and valuable learning experience.

Fantana who was a star in the Season 2 of the reality show for her controversial outtakes and confrontations with fellow actors, shared that she gradually grew more comfortable in front of the cameras as time went on.

“My experience has been good. It was a little bit awkward at first but I started getting used to the cameras as time went on. Besides, this isn’t the first time I am in front of cameras. Aside from music videos, I have also featured in a documentary titled My Perfect Funeral,” she said.

The ‘Rich Girl Anthem’ singer who went solo after parting ways with her former record label, Ruff Town Records also spoke about the notion that thriving in the music industry as a female is an arduous task.

“As a woman, it is easy to survive because there are loads of different things you can do, whether you have your own business, whether you are married, there are just different ways. All that you need is to find your power,” she revealed

Currently, Fantana is actively promoting her latest single, “Your Man,” which highlights her ability to attract any man she desires. The Afro-Dancehall tune was produced by Streetbeatz off her upcoming EP.

In an earlier interview, the Ghanaian singer disclose on 3FM Drive on Wednesday, May 10, that she was gearing up to drop her very first EP dubbed ‘Pills and Concoctions’ on Thursday, July 13, exactly 10 days after her 26th birthday.

According to her, ‘Pills and Concoctions’ is a collection of 6 songs with no collaborations, ranging from genres such as Dancehall to Afropop.

Additionally, she disclosed that another single would be released this month.

Furthermore, Fantana expressed her interest in exploring opportunities in movies and TV roles and is in close communication with her management team to determine the best course of action.
