MzBel has revealed in an interview on Adwuma Adwuma on Onua FM with Felicia Osei that the majority of the rumours circulated about her are untrue.

Born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, the 43-year-old lamented the numerous false reports about her that circulate online which she deemed as injurious to her reputation and brand.

“I ask myself why will somebody sit down and come up with something that will ruin another person’s life and make it believable, it hurts”, she lamented in a sad tone.

Unfortunately, it has become accepted practice in Ghana since unfavourable rumours about popular persons are quickly believed.

The “Asibolanga” hitmaker voiced her perplexity over this practice and advised Ghanaians to cease following it.

Aside from the negative rumours that have shrouded her name and image, the new mother is regarded as one of Ghana’s contentious performers.

She has received harsh criticism throughout the years for her personal style and lifestyle choice.

As the CEO of Bel Group, Bel Eye Media, and Mzbel Music, she is also a prominent advocate for people with disabilities on a global scale.

Mzbel has given Ghanaians a variety of chart-topping melodies since her breakout in 2006, with singles like “16 Years,” “Awoso Me,” “E Dey Bee,” “Asibolanga,” and “Saucy Girl.”

Her musical career has been distinguished by remarkable collaborations with eminent musicians including the late Castro, Screw Face, Kofi Kinaata, and Shiloh.
