Glitz Africa Honors Deloris Frimpong Manso and Jackie Appiah for Outstanding Contributions to Entertainment and Film Industry

Glitz Africa Magazine, a leading publication in Ghana,  through their annual Women of The Year Honours, has recognized two prominent figures in the entertainment and film industry for their exceptional contributions.

Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, received the Excellence in Media award at the 2023 Ghana Women of the Year Honours, while the talented actress Jackie Appiah was honoured with the Excellence in Creative Arts award.

The prestigious ceremony, held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Sunday, July 9, 2023, served as a platform to celebrate the remarkable achievements of these entertainment and media personalities, as well as other industrious women who have made significant strides in their respective fields.

With her influential presence in the entertainment industry, she has consistently provided a platform for open discussions and interviews with celebrities and public figures.

Her show, “The Delay Show,” has become a staple in Ghanaian television, showcasing thought-provoking conversations and offering insights into the lives of notable personalities.

The Excellence in Media award presented to Delay at the 2023 Ghana Women of the Year Honours acknowledges her outstanding contributions to the media landscape in Ghana.

Jackie Appiah’s remarkable talent and versatility have made her a beloved figure in the film industry, both in Ghana and internationally.

With her memorable performances, she has captivated audiences and garnered critical acclaim throughout her illustrious career.

At the same prestigious event, Jackie Appiah received the Excellence in Creative Arts award.

The Ghana Women of the Year Honours platform, through its annual awards ceremony, aims to unveil and celebrate the remarkable achievements of Ghanaian women who have made significant impacts on society.

For the past eight years, the platform has showcased the untapped potential of womanhood and the outstanding accomplishments of empowered women across various fields.

In addition to Delay and Jackie Appiah, several other remarkable women were honoured for their exceptional contributions in their respective domains. Karen Hendrickson, CEO of Rabito clinic, was recognized for her exemplary role as a humanitarian.

Nana Akua Birmeh was acknowledged for her trailblazing efforts in entrepreneurship, while Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, PhD, received accolades for her outstanding contributions to academia.
