Ghanaian singer and business owner, Mzbel will not be disclosing the identity of her daughter’s father to her fans and the world due to certain factors.
Addressing the decision to keep the identity of her baby’s father private in a recent interview, the ’16 Years’ singer said she was concerned about the social media repercussions and the potential consequences of sharing personal information on such platforms.
Citing examples of individuals who faced negative outcomes after revealing significant details about their relationships online, Mzbel said that she had taken a leaf from their ordeal by refraining from posting about him on social media.
“I can’t reveal his identity. Because of what I have seen on social media, I will never post anything that’s very dear to me on such a platform. Someone got married and announced it on social media and a few days later, it was revealed that her husband is a carpenter, make-up artiste, macho man, and other things, and eventually, the couple divorced,” she recounted.
Mzbel also expressed her reluctance to make Ohemaa’s father a social media figure who could be subjected to false rumours or malicious comments.
“If you have something you cherish, you are happy about it, and wish to keep it forever, then please social media should be the last place to make people know about it but for my daughter’s father, I wouldn’t post him for an ordinary person to disrespect and associate him with false information”, she said.
In an Instagram video that has since gone viral, Mzbel, 43, announced the news of the arrival of her baby girl, Nana Hemaa with fans and followers.
Mzbel who has a 10-year-old son, Nana Kwame Adepa, from a previous relationship is rumoured to have tied the knot with an anonymous man a few months ago.
In the past, she’s been linked to UT bank boss, Kofi Amoabeng and former President, H.E John Dramani Mahama
Her reluctance to share private details of her new man has only added to the speculation and curiosity surrounding the singer’s personal life.
