Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has disclosed the amount he currently charges for song features.

In a recent interview on the “BOOTLEGKEV podcast,” the music star revealed that his fee varies depending on his personal relationship with the artist, but the standard charge is $100,000.

Davido confidently stated, “I’m charging now, right now, timeless, I take a $100k, if I know you, the video cost and everything.”

This means that for artists who do not have a personal connection with him, the set price for collaboration is $100,000, inclusive of video production expenses.

As one of Africa’s most successful musicians, Davido’s influence and popularity have soared both locally and internationally.

His distinctive sound and energetic performances have earned him a massive following and numerous accolades in the music industry.

Davido’s revelation about his current fee has attracted a lot of comments from fans on social media but it also sheds light on the business aspect of collaborations within the music industry.

Davido who is currently promoting his Album, ‘Timeless’ revealed in a previous interview that he splurged a whopping $2 million on his third studio album, ‘A Better Time.’

He said: “My last album, I will tell you, I probably spent $2 million. That is for everything. You know what I’m saying? I haven’t even spent $300k on this album [Timeless]. And I made more already in three days. It just shows me the level of where African music is going.”

It underscores the value placed on his time, talent, and the impact he brings to a song.

Artists who wish to collaborate with Davido can expect a significant financial investment alongside the creative collaboration.

While the cost may seem substantial, it reflects the stature and demand for Davido’s contributions to music.

Davido has featured several Ghanaian artistes in the past including Kidi, Stonebwoy, Darko Vibes and Sarkodie in the past and fans are curious to know if they’ll also have to cough such amounts if they feature him again.
