King Promise added to his win of the Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) with a scoop of the Album of the Year.
He beat competition from Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Gyakie, Joe Mettle and Kwesi Arthur to win that award.
Born Gregory Bortey Promise Newman, the CCTV hitmaker had kept audience inside the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center on their feet with a breathtaking performance.

He was, therefore, not on stage to pick his first award of the night. Onua Showtime with McBrown host Nana Ama McBrown was on stage to receive the award for him.
The ‘5 Star’ album by King Promise has songs like 10 Toes, Choplife, Ginger and Put You On.
