Ghanaian rapper EL has extended apologies to his fans admitting that he was dishonest about encountering some sort of hardship to survive in the past.
In April 2023, the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year disclosed in an interview on 3Music TV that he had to work as a food courier in the United States to manage.
“Time teaches you so many valuable lessons and it changes you, especially when you go through a few things. I’ve passed through it before. There was a point in time in the States I had to start doing food delivery. Yeah, it was that deep. I delivered food door to door just to keep myself going” he said in the interview.
Later this year, in September, EL confessed in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM rebating what he earlier said in April 2023. The rapper admitted that he only said that for attention.
“Andy let me be very honest with you be my bro that whole thing ebi agenda we dey do. I no for do that thing but it’s one of those things. In the spur of the moment sometimes you get carried away,”
On Thursday, November 16, 2023, EL took his X (Formerly Twitter) to express his regret about not telling the truth in the interview. He apologized to his fans and promised not to pull a stunt ever again.
“Done a lot of things but one thing I’m really sorry about is lying to my fans on that interview. Love My Eliens too much and y’all didn’t deserve it No more stunts I promise” he said.
