Entertainment journalist and pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has stated that Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has the right to pursue legal action if he feels defamed by the content of Yvonne Nelson’s tell-it-all memoir, ‘I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON‘.

Sarkodie was mentioned by Yvonne Nelson in her memoir as her former lover who impregnated her and refused to accept responsibility.

She wrote, “On an ordinary day, I would have laughed out loud and that would trigger a string of jolly conversations and jokes. But this was no laughing matter. It was a grim piece of information that was capable of turning my world upside down. I wasn’t the only one responsible for the situation, so I called the man whose potent seed had germinated in me. His name is Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie.

Responding to the controversy over the book, Asamoah-Baidoo indicated that Sarkodie has the freedom to sue for defamation and breach of privacy, or he can choose not to respond at all.

“If Sarkodie feels his image has been defamed by the shocks in the books, he can sue for defamation, he can also take action for breach of privacy, in a response also he can equally write a book or rather choose not to respond,” he revealed.

According to Baidoo, any individual mentioned in the book holds the right to take appropriate action if they believe their reputation has been harmed by the book’s content.

“Every name mentioned in the book has every right to take action should they feel defamed by the content,” he added.

The book offers a glimpse into the personal triumphs and challenges that the author has faced throughout her life, while also shedding light on the often-concealed realities of the celebrity world.

Nelson’s memoir serves as a powerful platform for her to share her experiences, providing readers with an intimate understanding of her journey and the lessons she has learned along the way.

However, since it’s release, the most talked about topic in the book is her relationship with Sarkodie and how he left her at the abortion clinic all to herself.
