Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo in a recent interview on The Ladies Circle on TV3 has disclosed that she is currently available for roles that only offer her financial rewards or furtherance in her career.
According to the actress and entrepreneur, she is committed to selecting projects carefully and avoiding scandals or spaces that do not align with her goals.
“I am too busy for scandals and spaces that will not give me money. Right now I select my movies. I mean I’m not trying to get a name anymore,” she disclosed
The ‘Hotel Babylon’ actress acknowledged that while she may not have achieved the same level of fame as renowned actress Genevieve Nnaji, she has established herself as an A-list actor in her own right.
“I mean I might not be Genevieve but if you mention A-list actors you’ll mention me so I feel like if I have a script, the script has to take me further or the money has to be good because I’m working on the side and I’m making money,” she said.
The mother of two who currently runs several other businesses along with her acting career emphasized that she is currently prioritizing roles that have the potential to propel her career further or provide substantial financial benefits.

“Movies are churned out every day but it has to be a particular movie that can push my career to a certain level or I won’t do it. It’s not even easy to approach some of us,” she pointed out.
Beverly Afaglo also revealed that certain producers may desire to work with A-list actors like herself but are struggling to afford their fees or meet their requirements.
“Some producers can’t produce movies and want some of us in it but maybe they can’t afford us or maybe this script I won’t be interested because where is it taking me to?” she queried.
