Ghanaian dancehall sensation Stonebwoy has extended his congratulations and support to Tyrone Marghuy, the Rastafarian student who overcame admission challenges at Achimota School and excelled in his WASSCE with 8 As.

Marghuy, whose struggle for admission due to his hairstyle made headlines in 2021, recently shared a jubilant video announcing his remarkable academic achievement.

Impressed by his success, Stonebwoy lauded Marghuy in the comments section, highlighting how the young man defied stereotypes associated with Rastafarians.

As a gesture of celebration, Stonebwoy generously offered 10 VIP tickets to Marghuy and his friends for his upcoming BHIM Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 22. “Congratulations – This Continues to Defy The Odds That All Rastas Are Up To No Good. 10 VIP tickets for You And Friends- Let’s celebrate On Friday at the Stadium,” the Gidigba hitmaker expressed.

Marghuy, appreciating Stonebwoy’s gesture, replied with gratitude, accepting the invitation to the BHIM Concert.

The Achimota School admission saga involving Marghuy gained attention as he and another student, Oheneba Nkrabea, were initially denied entry due to their dreadlocks. After a legal battle, Marghuy was eventually admitted, asserting the right of Rastafarian students to maintain their hairstyles.

Stonebwoy’s flagship BHIM Concert, titled ‘The 7th Dimension Homecoming – Ashaiman to the World Festival,’ is scheduled for Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
