Former Brazil international and World Cup winner Ronaldo has tied the knot for the third time wedding model Celina Locks in a glamorous ceremony.
The event took place in Ibiza, Spain, where the former Real Madrid and Barcelona forward owns a home.
The couple took to Instagram to share: “Today we brought our families together for an intimate religious celebration and thus marked the beginning of a week of many celebrations.”
Locks 33, who is 13 years younger than Ronaldo, becomes the retired footballer’s third wife, following two previous divorces.
Ronaldo had his first child, Ronald, who is now 23, with his ex-wife, former Brazilian footballer Milene Domingues. After their marriage ended, he tied the knot with Maria Beatriz Antony, and the couple welcomed two daughters, Maria Sofia, 14, and Maria Alice, 12.
Following his previous unsuccessful marriages, Ronaldo will be hoping for a lasting and fulfilling union with Locks as he enjoys his retirement.
The 47-year-old has been hailed by many as the greatest striker of all time given his ability to dribble run and score effortlessly from diverse angles.
Having won the FIFA World Player of The Year Award three times, Ronaldo also won the World Cup twice with Brazil.
Despite all his envious achievements he is one of the few great footballers to have missed out on winning the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy despite succesful stints with Real Madrid and Barcelona.
