Bukom Banku recently announced his retirement from professional boxing, expressing his desire to pass the torch to his children.
The Ghanaian boxer, who clinched a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 1999 African Games in South Africa, laid the foundation for his illustrious professional career. With an impressive record of 29 wins in 30 fights, Bukom Banku’s only loss came against Bastie Samir in October 2017.
Despite signing a lucrative contract with local promotional giant Box Office Promotions, Bukom Banku has not entered the ring since his last international victory in 2019.
Now, he channels his wealth of experience and skill into training his son, Abu Kamoko, ensuring that the family’s boxing legacy continues to thrive.
