Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar sealed the victory for Besiktas with a goal in the 79th minute, further solidifying their dominance in the match.
Amartey’s transfer to Besiktas on a three-year contract came after his eight-year spell with Leicester City, a tenure that ended following the club’s relegation from the Premier League. He joined the club in 2015 from Danish side Copenhagen and had a remarkable start, winning the Premier League. He also played a role in the club’s FA Cup triumph in 2021 against Chelsea.
Daniel Amartey's salary at Besiktas until 2027 will reach an impressive €1.8M net per year.
