Kylian Mbappe has raised concerns about the attitude of AC Milan fans for their treatment of Gianluigi Donnarumma during Tuesday’s Champions League match.
Donnarumma left Milan for PSG in 2021 on a free transfer after his contract with the Rossoneri expired, which sparked controversy due to reports of his substantial salary increase.
The Italian shot-stopper, returned to the San Siro with PSG and endured a hostile reception from Milan supporters.
During the match, Milan fans jeered Donnarumma and even threw fake banknotes with his face on them, labeling him ‘Dollar-umma.’

Mbappe acknowledged that fans have the right to express their feelings, but he also revealed that PSG tried to protect Donnarumma as much as possible, and he expressed sympathy for his teammate’s experience during the game.
Milan went on to secure a 2-1 victory in front of their passionate home crowd at San Siro, with goals from Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud.
PSG’s Milan Skriniar had opened the scoring, but Milan’s determination to win ultimately made the difference.
The victory has added an element of uncertainty to the qualification race in Group F of the Champions League, with Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United also in contention for the top two spots.
PSG will hope to bounce back againstReims in Ligue 1 on Saturday, while Milan is set to face Leece in Serie A in their next fixture.
