France midfielder Ngolo Kante has agreed to a lucrative deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

This comes shortly after the club’s announcement of the acquisition of Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema earlier in the week.

The transfer saga unfolded quickly, with Kanté undergoing medical tests in London and finalising the details of his move.

The agreement is reported to be a two-year deal with an option for an additional season, offering Kanté an astounding salary of €100 million per season.

While Chelsea had been in negotiations with Kanté for a new contract, the midfielder made the decision to pursue a new challenge and secure a highly lucrative deal with the Saudi club.

This move makes Kante the latest high-profile player to move to the Saudi Pro League, following in the footsteps of Ronaldo and Benzema.

Additionally, rumours have circulated that the Saudis are closely monitoring players of the calibre of Lionel Messi and other global superstars.
