Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has sought the assistance of cage-fighting experts for a training session ahead of his rumoured fight with Elon Musk.

Following in the footsteps of Elon Musk and Georges St-Pierre, who recently joined forces, Zuckerberg was seen training with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, as revealed through a series of photos posted by Adesanya on Tuesday.

The images depict the trio donning training shorts and standing on mats, with Zuckerberg sporting taped wrists. Adesanya emphasised the seriousness of the training, stating, “No fugazi with Mark. This is serious business.” Zuckerberg expressed his gratitude on Instagram, commenting, “It was an honor to train with you guys!”

In the past year, Zuckerberg has shown an increasing interest in the MMA community. He predominantly follows MMA accounts on social media and attended a UFC event with his wife, Priscilla Chan, at the UFC Apex in October. Notably, Zuckerberg has also participated in Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitions.

The rivalry between Zuckerberg and Tesla founder Elon Musk recently escalated to an online feud, leading both billionaires to express their desire for an MMA bout. It’s been suggested that the billionaires could lock horns when Musk called out Zuckerberg on social media in June.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the seriousness of their intentions, and the UFC even released “Musk vs. Zuckerberg” merchandise on their online store. While the logistics of such a fight remain uncertain, White hinted at the potential for a billion-dollar revenue opportunity, stating, “Whoever says no, every other state and country will say yes.”
