Lionel Messi has chosen to join American club Inter Miami over a more lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the former Barcelona player has chosen to embark on a new adventure outside of Europe for the first time in his career.
Despite reports that Messi was considering a move to Saudi Arabia, where he would have joined Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in a star-studded league, the 35-year-old forward has chosen Inter Miami in Major League Soccer (MLS).
The Miami deal reportedly includes collaborations with renowned brands such as Adidas and Apple, extending beyond the realm of football.
Messi’s decision to snub Al-Hilal and opt for Inter Miami is said to be influenced by various factors, including lifestyle considerations and the opportunity to work with major global brands.

Interestingly, Messi already owns a house in Miami, which he currently rents out. This existing connection to the city likely played a role in his decision to join Inter Miami and continue his illustrious career in the United States.
Having won the prestigious award for the world’s best player on seven occasions, Messi is widely expected to secure the accolade once again later this year following a successful FIFA World Cup campaign.
