Leicester City’s Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, had a lighthearted and playful exchange with Black Stars winger Fatawu Issahaku and Zambian striker Patson Daka after their team’s 4-0 victory against Plymouth on Saturday.

Issahaku assisted two goals, Daka scored a brace, and Ndidi found the back of the net in Leicester City’s commanding win at the King Power Stadium. The victory solidified Leicester City’s lead in the Championship table with 49 points after 20 games, positioning them well for a potential return to the Premier League after being relegated just a season prior.

Nevertheless, the aftermath of the game brought about a humorous encounter between the three African comrades, as they revisited their usual playful moments, even though the conversation stemmed from a competitive match.

In a video posted on Instagram, Ndidi playfully teased Issahaku for his stylish play during the game, recalling a moment when a simpler pass could have been made. Ndidi jokingly remarked, “Ball way @Issahakufatawu 10 go pass since, e Dey wear am cloth.”

The video captures the friendly banter among the trio, with Ndidi playfully questioning Issahaku’s choice of style on the pitch. In response, Issahaku explains himself, and Daka adds humour to the situation, offering further insight to Ndidi.

Despite the banter, the three players shared big smiles and commended the home fans for their support before leaving the pitch.

Ndidi and Issahaku seem to share a close friendship, as evidenced by their frequent appearances in videos together, engaging in jokes and camaraderie.

One of their moments was reported by 3xtra.tv when Ndidi trolled Issahaku for dosing off after what seemed to be a torrid training session.
