Nigeria legend Jay-Jay Okocha and wife renew marriage vows after 25 years

Former Nigeria international Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and his wife Nkechi Okocha, have renewed their marriage vows after 25 years of wedded bliss.

In a heartwarming event, the former Bolton Wanderers forward and his beloved partner Nkechi Okocha commemorated their enduring love and commitment by renewing their marriage vows. The couple originally tied the knot in 1997 and have since been blessed with two children, Ajay and Daniella.

Both Austin and Nkechi Okocha, now at the age of 50, have consistently expressed their deep affection for each other throughout their journey together. During the footballer’s 50th birthday celebration on the 21st of October, Nkechi publicly shared her admiration for her husband, emphasising his uniqueness.

“My husband is just one. He would want him (the son) playing football, but I don’t think there is anyone who can be my husband because he is just special,” Nkechi told Pulse earlier this year.

It was a delightful coincidence that their celebration fell on their 25th marriage anniversary. In a truly beautiful and meaningful event, the couple decided to reaffirm their vows in a magnificent ceremony set against the backdrop of the Maldives.

The vow renewal ceremony was a breathtaking spectacle, as Nkechi looked stunning in her white gown, while the legendary Super Eagles icon, Austin Okocha, was dapper in a white suit paired with black trousers.

Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, celebrated as one of the greatest dribblers ever to grace the Super Eagles’ jersey, boasts an illustrious football career that spanned an impressive 18 years.
