Cristiano Ronaldo scored a crucial header in Al-Nassr’s 1-1 draw against Zamalek, propelling his team to the knockout rounds of the Arab Club Champions Cup on Thursday.

The Portuguese superstar’s well-timed leap allowed him to connect with a precise cross from Ghislain Konan on the left wing, finding the back of the net in the 87th minute.

Ronaldo’s equaliser not only salvaged a draw for Al-Nassr against the Egyptian club Zamalek but also secured their advancement to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

The Saudi Pro League club faced the prospect of elimination in the group stages but managed to clinch qualification by a single point, thanks in large part to Ronaldo’s crucial goal.

The goal has been hailed as a game-changer, as Al-Nassr was on the brink of elimination before Ronaldo’s intervention. The draw against Zamalek allowed them to progress further in the Arab Club Champions Cup, setting up an important clash against Moroccan side Raja CA.

It was Ronaldo’s second goal in the new season, both headers.
