Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has been awarded the Porsche Centre Mid-Sussex Player of the Month for October for his remarkable performance in October.
This accolade comes after his outstanding display for Brighton and Hove Albion during the month, including a crucial win at Old Trafford and a remarkable comeback draw at Marseille.
The 23-year-old footballer made a significant impact in October, contributing two assists in Brighton’s 3-1 victory at Old Trafford and playing a key role in their 2-2 draw at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille. His performances did not go unnoticed, earning him the prestigious Player of the Month title.
In a unique twist, the award comes with an exciting bonus. As Porsche Centre Mid-Sussex sponsors the award, Tariq Lamptey has the privilege of choosing a Porsche of his preference. However, there’s a catch – he can only enjoy this luxury car for 48 hours.
Unfortunately, Lamptey had to take a brief hiatus from the game due to an injury sustained after the Marseille match in France. Still, he is on the road to recovery and is expected to make his comeback in Brighton’s upcoming match against Ajax Amsterdam in the Europa League.
His return to the field will not only be a cause for celebration for Brighton fans but also a significant boost for the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, as they prepare for the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Ghana’s first matches in the qualifiers are against Madagascar and Comoros, and Lamptey’s presence is expected to make a substantial difference in their quest for World Cup qualification.
