West Ham fan who traveled from London to Kumasi meets Kudus

A dedicated West Ham fan from the United Kingdom who embarked on an incredible journey from London to Kumasi to witness his team’s new signing, Mohammed Kudus, in action during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Thursday has finally met his idol.

The UK-based West Ham fan flew all the way to Kumasi, Ghana, to witness the Black Stars in action against the Central African Republic. His primary goal was to witness Mohammed Kudus in action as seen in a viral video from Ghanaweb.

Not only did he have the privilege of watching Kudus play, but he has finally had a dream encounter with the Black Stars forward himself.

The heartwarming story which began at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi was confirmed on Sunday as the Black Stars reported through their official Twitter/X handle as Kudus met the fan.

A few days after the game, the devoted West Ham fan had the opportunity of a lifetime as he finally met Kudus in person. To commemorate the occasion, he received a Black Stars shirt with Kudus’ number, 20.

 

Mohammed Kudus made his debut as a late substitute for West Ham in their victory over Luton Town having joined late in the summer transfer window from Ajax has already captured the hearts of Hammers fans worldwide. Even before his full debut, his name has resonated through the West Ham faithful, and his potential has been widely celebrated.

During his duty with the Black Stars against the Central African Republic, Kudus continued to shine, drawing unyielding support and admiration from fans as he scored a stunning free-kick which set the tone for a dramatic comeback win for Ghana and eventually secured a place in the next AFCON to be held in Ivory Coast.
