Mohammed Kudus dissected how he executed his brilliant finish against Arsenal on Wednesday night in the thrilling Carabao Cup.
Kudus, who earned a consecutive starting spot in the lineup, showcased one of his best performances as a Hammer, contributing a stunning goal to secure a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the London Stadium.
West Ham had already gone up in the 16th minute courtesy of an own goal by Ben White and needed a goal more to solidify their lead against their fellow Londoners who have been in impressive form in the ongoing season.
A few minutes after the break, Kudus notched on to a long but brilliant pass from Aguerd and turned it on a great position with a great cutback before curling it to the left corner of the post to double the lead.
In a recent video shared by West Ham, Kudus was allowed to watch his goal for the first time and explain how it happened.
“Wow! What a finish. I think it was a beautiful ball from Naif [Aguerd],” he exclaimed.
“So I just had to take the touch inside because there was no space outside and I saw the goalkeeper outside and when I come inside its far corner so boom! and it was a goal,” he said humorously.

Jarod Bowen added the third goal for the Hammers before Arsenal reduced the deficit in stoppage time through Martin Odegaard.
Thanks to the victory, West Ham have progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition and would trade tackles with Liverpool next in a daunting task.
