Award-winning Ghanaian singer-songwriter, KiDi has said that his hiatus was much needed but he is back now.
In an interview on Showbiz360 with Giovanni Caleb, the highlife musician indicated that he took a break that was important. However, he is back feeling “revitalized, recharged”.
“We are back revitalized, recharged and ready to go. Plenty of things happened that required me to take a break. In life, whatever you do, when your body tells you you need rest, you have to rest. The mind, body and soul communicated,” he stated.
Speaking on why he took the break, the ‘Golden boy’ was hesitant in giving details but called out those who decided to spread false rumours.
“Let’s not go into details. I needed to take a break and I did but it’s quite unfortunate that during the break, people decided to add their own things to scare others,” he said.

When asked why he didn’t come out with any type of song that expressed his gratitude to God, KiDi said that “As I came, I came out with ‘I lied’. It will be quite hypocritical if I come back and do R Kelly things. I have done my prayers on the side.”
According to him, “The family, friends and even the brands I work with have been so supportive and they had patience. I’m back and right now, we’re jamming.”
The ‘Odo’ hitmaker tells his fans to expect more music from him as he is excited to be back.
“More music is coming out. It’s still summer so we are outside. I was supposed to be in Germany today but that didn’t happen so I think in a month I’ll be… I just decided to wait and release the song, do a little and get back on the road. I’m happy to be back,” he indicated.
Sharing his feelings on the public’s reaction to his new song, ‘Likor’ featuring Stonebwoy, KiDi stated that “I was half surprised and half not surprised because I knew it was a great record and had ‘One God’ on it. The video is coming out next week.”
