Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has shared valuable advice with Manchester United’s emerging talent, Kobbie Mainoo as the latter navigates his way to the top.

The 18-year-old midfielder faced setbacks due to injury but has recently impressed in his performances for the Red Devils.

Musiala, who himself started his professional career at a young age, emphasised the importance of confidence for young players.

Speaking ahead of Bayern’s visit to Old Trafford, Musiala expressed, “I haven’t heard much about him, but if he is in the Manchester United squad, he must have lots of quality.”

He continued, “I think for a young player, it is about just having that confidence in yourself. Especially when you are playing with older people and people who have a bit more experience, that you get that trust that you are meant to be where you are right now.”

Mainoo, having made a significant impact in his recent outing against Everton, showcased both quality and maturity beyond his years. Musiala’s advice aligns with the challenges and opportunities that come with being a young player in a top-tier club like Manchester United.

The spotlight is on Mainoo as United faces Bayern in a crucial Champions League clash, with the outcome determining their fate in the competition. As the 18-year-old continues to navigate his rise to prominence, Musiala’s words serve as a source of encouragement and guidance, echoing the spirit of mentorship in the football community.

Born to Ghanaian parents in Stockport, the midfielder has donned the English jersey, representing the national team at the under-17, under-18, and under-19 levels and could still choose to represent the Black Stars in the future.
