#GMB2023: Bono region’s Kwartemaa shines as ‘Star Performer’ for the night

Bono Region’s Kwartemaa emerged as the ‘Star Performer‘ for the night’s edition dubbed ‘Music and Dance’ with her exceptional display of talent that left all three of the judges clapping and the audience in awe.

Kwartemaa’s performance was a delightful journey into the unique traditions of the Bono region, particularly the silent Fontomfrom dance.

She shared valuable insights into traditional Bono songs, enlightening the audience about the rich cultural heritage of her region.

Her performance was nothing short of mesmerizing, as it received claps from all three judges for the evening who were clearly impressed.

The highlight of Kwartemaa’s performance was the masterful beating of the drums, which she executed with a smile that radiated joy and an unmistakable level of artistry and remarkable energy.

Her attire complimented her performance, as she danced gracefully in a white cloth adorned with colourful beads around her neck, upper arm, knee, and ankle areas.

A rope tied around her waist held African print clothing, adding to the visual appeal of her presentation.

Judge Dzigbordi Kwaku couldn’t contain her admiration, stating, “We have a bright shining star tonight. This person mesmerized us with her drumming of the Fontomfrom… Of course, she made her region proud.”

While Kwartemaa’s performance was undeniably outstanding, it’s worth mentioning that several other contestants ( Upper West region’s Sung-Suma, Greater Accra’s Naa Ayeley and Northern region’s Nurah) also delivered remarkable acts that made them eligible for the award. However, Kwartemaa’s ability to captivate the judges and the audience earned her the ‘Star Performer’ title for the night.

In recognition of her remarkable talent, Kwartemaa received products from Gino Tomato Mix and a Tecno Camon 20 series as part of the honour.

The eviction of two contestants by the close of the night’s episode was a reminder of the competition’s intensity.
