In a historic triumph, Red Star Belgrade has broken Real Madrid’s legendary record for the most consecutive unbeaten home matches.

The Serbian champions achieved this feat with a decisive 3-1 victory over Mladost Lucani at the Rajko Mitić Stadium in the Serbian championship over the weekend.

As highlighted by Opta, Red Star Belgrade’s remarkable run of 122 consecutive unbeaten home games dates back to 2017, surpassing Real Madrid’s streak of 121 from 1957 to 1965. This milestone reflects not only the club’s consistent performance but also a seismic shift in football dominance.

Ghana winger talent Osman Bukari, who joined Red Star Belgrade last season, played a role in contributing crucial goals and assists during this historic run. Bukari has been fortunate to be part of the team’s success and has made a notable impact on the pitch since joining last season.

It’s important to note that Red Star Belgrade’s achievement is specific to their domestic league, as they suffered a home defeat in the UEFA Champions League this season against Leipzig.

As they aim to avoid another Champions League upset, the Serbian giants face a challenging test on Wednesday night against defending champions Manchester City.

Red Star Belgrade’s achievement stands as a testament to their dominance on home turf, and with Osman Bukari in their ranks, they continue to make waves in the footballing world.
