Medikal makes headlines with GHC100,000 purchase of Yvonne Nelson’s memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”

Ghanaian music star, Medikal has bought himself a copy of actress Yvonne Nelson’s new memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” for GHS 100,000.

The event which was held at the Peduase Valley Resort witnessed the unexpected bid that left dignitaries and media present in awe.

The 30-year-old singer, according to a video from the event arrived fashionably late and proceeded to make the generous bid.

The event’s host, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, excitedly shared the news with the audience, amplifying the buzz surrounding the book launch.

Social media platforms quickly became inundated with comments from fans, expressing their thoughts on Medikal’s substantial purchase.

Some questioned the reasoning behind spending such a significant amount on a book that retails for 332 GHS in paperback.

One user playfully remarked, “Let the poor breathe, don’t suffocate them ???????????? 1 billion ????.” Another fan sadly shared their desire to have that money to pursue personal aspirations, stating, “Ei 100,000 bruh, adey need this money travel go UK to do my nursing chale ????.”

In a stunning display of support, Ghanaian rapper Medikal made waves at the launch of Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” by purchasing a copy for a whopping GHC100,000.

Among the social media banter, one fan jokingly questioned the book’s purpose, asking if it had any other functions beyond reading, “Wait, just for reading or it can do another thing?? and one questioned if Medikal would read the book after such a huge purchase.

Medikal’s significant purchase has further sparked curiosity and excitement surrounding the book’s content which readers are calling ‘brave’ and ‘mindblowing’

“I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” delves into the captivating journey of  Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson who is seeking self-discovery as a young woman, only to realize she has been living under a false identity.
