Three female personalities associated with the Media General brand have been honoured at the recently held 2023 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) in Accra.
The event, which took place at the International Conference Centre on Sunday, September 10, 2023, saw Cookie Tee, Juliana Akosua Manu Afful and GMB reigning queen, Queen Teiya clinch coveted awards in their various categories.
Cookie Tee who is a co-host on New Day, Ghana’s Most Beautiful and Today’s Woman took home Ghana’s Outstanding Woman Brand Influencer award while Manu Afful, a business reporter for TV3 won the Outstanding Woman Young TV Personality.
On the other hand, Queen Teiya also won the Outstanding Woman Beauty Queen of the Year, clear evidence of her outstanding work and commitment to empowering women and promoting self-confidence.
Organized by ASKOF Productions, the GOWA Awards is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating Ghanaian women whose contributions have significantly impacted the nation in various fields, including politics, health, education, sports, and showbiz.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, the Chief Executive Officer of ASKOF Productions, emphasized the importance of women taking on higher leadership roles to drive national development.

She commended the remarkable impact the GOWA awards scheme has made in just six years and encouraged more women to aspire to leadership positions.
“This award scheme was instituted to celebrate the hard work of women in our society, and we at ASKOF Productions are happy to have created a significant impact in just six years. We hope to continue our mission of recognizing women’s achievements and inspiring young women to aspire to higher positions,” Mrs. Aduonum stated.
As Ghana celebrates these outstanding women and their remarkable contributions, it reaffirms the importance of recognizing and supporting the achievements of women across diverse sectors.
