The controversy between Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon as his wife Tracy Sarkcess has taken to social media to share a powerful biblical quote, adding fuel to the ongoing drama between the rapper and the actress.
The quote, taken from Proverbs 19:5, reads, “A false witness will not go unpunished, and whoever pours out lies will not go free.”
The saga which began after the launch of Yvonne’s memoir, “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON” was reignited on June 28, when Sarkodie released a song titled “Try Me” in response to the accusations in the book.
The track delves into his side of the story regarding his past relationship with the actress and addresses the allegations made in her book.
Released in the early hours of the morning, the song quickly caught attention due to its strong content and direct lyrics.
Sarkodie shared the link to the song on his YouTube channel, prompting a wave of reactions from fans and followers.
” I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a thing … You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school,” he addressed the incident in the song.
Yvonne Nelson, however, did not take Sarkodie’s response lightly and took to Twitter to express her grievances.
In a series of tweets, she clarified the timeline of events surrounding her pregnancy and graduation, countering Sarkodie’s claims.
She also questioned whether he would have accepted her pregnancy while he was in a serious relationship with another woman who later became his wife.
Amidst this social media exchange, Tracy Sarkcess, who is married to Sarkodie and shares two children with him, took to her Instagram story to share the Proverbs 19:5 quote.
Fans and followers were quick to speculate about the intended meaning behind Tracy’s cryptic message, as it coincided with the ongoing drama between her husband and Yvonne Nelson.
