Ghanaian actress and musician, Michy has opened up about her relationship status with an undisclosed popular personality for the past three years.
In an appearance on 3FM Drive, Michy GH revealed that she has been seeing someone for 3 years now after having been single for 5 years.
“I’ve been with someone for a very long time; very lowkey. It’s not in the limelight because we are two very popular people. He is probably more popular than me; a national asset. We’ve been going out for 3 years. I’ve been single for 5 years,” she disclosed.
According to her, Majesty, her son with dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, loves the gentleman in question though there is limited access because the father is still around and they are not legally married.
“Majesty loves him but he’s not allowed that access; not too much of it because you’re not my husband and might not be. I don’t mind settling down after he is old enough to understand and accept whoever I end up with,” she highlighted while speaking to Giovanni and AJ Sarpong.
Still, on the same topic, she added that “At this point, that’s uncle. I don’t want to give him that access because his father is there so why do you want to assume such a role? I would break up with you if you offend my child because before you come into my life, you know that my son is your first competition and it’s quite hard; I’ll always choose him over you. We’ve got to put our kids first.”
When asked about the level of involvement Shatta Wale has in the life of his son, she said, “He is present since we’ve been able to look over our differences.” adding that she can’t tell whether or not she’d get back with him.
“You know what the Bible says? Thou shall not act like God. You can never tell the future,” she said jovially.
Sharing a few lessons she has learnt from dating popular personalities, Michy GH stated that “You need a whole lot of patience. Popularity comes with all sorts of vices. There is the good and bad though the latter is more in the entertainment sector. You must psyche your mind that this is who I am with.”
